Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is completely free forever and requires no credit card. The Starter and Solo plans also offer a 14-day free trial with no card up front — you only enter payment information when the trial ends or you upgrade.
Do you have plans for multi-attorney firms?
Team plans for multi-attorney firms are on the way. For now, every solo practitioner is fully covered by the Solo plan, and if you need multiple seats today, reach out to our Enterprise team and we’ll set you up.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal in your account settings. Account deletion is a reviewed request: when you request it we run legal-hold and billing checks, then delete or irreversibly anonymize your firm’s data, typically within 30 days of a verified request. Encrypted backups age out on their normal cycle.
What AI model does Draftiro use? Is my data shared with the AI provider?
Draftiro uses Google Gemini for chat and drafting. On the paid Gemini API tier, Google’s terms prohibit using your inputs or outputs to train Google’s models, and Gemini calls are stateless. Your data is never used to train AI models.
What happens when I upgrade from the Free plan?
All your existing cases, documents, and conversations carry over automatically. No data migration required.
Can I export all my data if I cancel?
Yes. Settings → Download my data exports a complete JSON archive of every case, document, message, time entry, and audit log entry tied to your firm. This is required by ABA Rule 1.16(d) (return of client property) and GDPR Art. 20.
Does Draftiro work with Gmail, or just Outlook?
Right now, calendar + inbox integration is Outlook-only via Microsoft Graph. Gmail/Google Workspace is on the roadmap. Document drafting and AI chat work regardless of your email provider.
Is my client data confidential?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) via Supabase on AWS us-east-1 (single region; EU data residency is on the roadmap, not yet available). Outlook OAuth tokens are individually encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Row-level security is enforced on every database table so no firm can read another firm’s data.
Is Draftiro only for licensed attorneys?
Yes. Draftiro is designed for licensed attorneys and legal professionals. The AI outputs are legal research aids — not legal advice — and must be reviewed by a qualified attorney before being relied upon or filed.
