Rule 26(f) conference
The parties' planning conference required before initial disclosures and the scheduling order.
FRCP 26(f) requires the parties to confer as soon as practicable and at least 21 days before the scheduling conference. They must discuss the nature and basis of claims and defenses, the possibility of settlement, arrange for initial disclosures, and develop a discovery plan.
The discovery plan is filed with the court before the FRCP 16 scheduling conference.
